NanoShuttles

NanoShuttles are the particles with sharp tips at both ends. Au/Ag nanoshuttles have been synthesized by chemically depositing silver on gold nanorods. Strong local field in the Au/Ag nanoshuttles enhanced by longitudinal surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) were investigated. Compared to gold nanorods, there is a blue shifted LSPR peak of Au/Ag nanoshuttles.
